At Tallowwood Cottage, I've blended calming bush vibes with the cosy comfort of home. It's definitely not a lux cottage, it was built by my dad and granddad and has unique rustic character where nothing is square and nothing matches. The real star of the show is the beautiful private rainforest setting. It's a truly rare place where you feel away from the world.

 

The cottage is part off grid but has some mod cons including a six burner induction stove and electric oven, reverse cycle air conditioning and indoor wood fireplace as well as a soda stream and free wifi for snuggling up on the couch and streaming your favourite shows. The cottage is on septic and has a rainwater tank and dam water is pumped for the toilet. If you want to disconnect, the outdoor fire pit is perfect for relaxing or cooking outside to connect with nature. The cottage doesn't have good mobile reception with most carriers, but if you're with Telstra, when you connect to the wifi, your phone calls will run through the modem, giving you clear call quality inside the cottage.

 

The property has an unfenced open dam, has open cupboards and shelves and after hosting my cottage on Airbnb for the past 3 years the most negative feedback has been from families, so it's not recommended for kids but pets are welcome.

Each bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps 2 people (a cot is also available for infants). The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people.

 

It's the perfect place for a getaway or for a longer stay for a few months if you need a fully furnished self contained home. Experience the captivating bush tranquility while being only 15 minutes from Coffs. We hope you create unforgettable memories at my forest sanctuary.
